"doing Construction Differently"

July 2020 Blog

A new department in the company and our safety standards have been raised.
It’s been a very busy few months at the office for J Poole Group. A flurry of activities has surrounded the launch of a new division within the company: providing COVID-19 cleaning and disinfecting services to residential and commercial properties. In addition, a Restoration Division is being finalized for launch with the purpose of helping clients that have suffered a loss as a result of water, fire, or weather.

Like many businesses across the US, the emergence of the Coronavirus threw a wrench in the well-oiled machine of our projects, stalling our Privatized Army Lodging (PAL) renovations in many states and causing us to slow to a crawl. With a unanimous push from the owners, JPG worked with the US Army to take a new look at our safety protocols to enhance and improve our protection as well as educate our staff and sub-contractors. These increased safety measures have been incorporated throughout the company as part of our general safety standards and now serve as our baseline. This ensures that, despite what may come in regard to future challenges, our team will already be complying with the necessary safety standards to keep our clients and team safe.
To create this new service within our company, JPG’s COVID Cleaning team has completed all the required certifications and training from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Center of Disease Control (CDC), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) to provide safe and worry-free SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) cleanup to commercial and residential property.

In addition, several team members of J Poole Group selflessly serve as a member of Salado Volunteer Fire Department, and as a team we wanted to focus on giving back to the local community. We had the opportunity on July 8th to visit Station Two to perform a full COVID Cleaning sanitization. We want to thankChief Shane Berrier, the members of the Salado Volunteer Fire Department, as well as their families, for the opportunity and everything they do to keep the community safe.

It’s been exciting seeing the JPG team embrace challenges as an opportunity to learn, grow, adapt and excel in uncertain times. We will always strive to be a proactive and innovative project management firm built on strong principles and beliefs.
